Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cups Sugar
- 6 Cups Cold Water (divided)
- 8 Lemons
- 1 Cup Blackberries
- 1 Bunch Mint Leaves
- Libation of Choice Optional (We used vodka)
Instructions
- First, make a simple syrup. We used 1 ½ cups sugar to 1 cup water, but if that is too sweet for your taste, adjust the sugar amount accordingly. Combine water and sugar and simmer on stove until sugar is dissolved. Approximately 5 minutes.
- Squeeze 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- In a pitcher add 5 cups cold water, the simple syrup and the fresh lemon juice. Stir and chill.
- We added the blackberries, mint and vodka by the glass, so guests could choose the type of lemonade and favorite libation, so instructions below are by the glass. You can double, triple etc. as needed.
- In a shaker, muddle a wedge of lemon, 4 to 5 blackberries, vodka and 2 to 3 mint leaves.
- Add ice and shake.
- Pour into your favorite glass, and garnish with a slice of lemon and mint leave. Enjoy!
