First, make the Lemonade:

All you need to make the lemonade is a lemon juicer a pan and a pitcher.

Combine 1 cup water and 1 1/2 cups sugar in a small saucepan. Place over medium-low heat and stir until sugar is dissolved, for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, cool and chill in the refrigerator.

Squeeze lemons until you have 1 cup fresh juice. You will need to squeeze 7 – 8 lemons.

Pour 1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice into a pitcher. Add sugar/water mixture (simple syrup).

Add remaining 5 cups of water and stir well. Chill in the refrigerator for several hours before serving.

Adding the Blackberries to turn Lemonade into Blackberry Lemonade

Muddle a wedge of lemon, 4 to 5 blackberries, your favorite libation (optional) and 1 – 2 mint leaves to taste. Add ice and shake. Serve in your favorite glass and garnish with lemon and mint leave.

Sip with a friend and enjoy!

How to Store Fresh Lemonade:

Since ice cubes can dilute lemonade, it is best to store in the refrigerator without ice. Add ice when serving to enjoy ice cold lemonade.

Tip: Freeze lemonade in ice cubes trays, so that as you add ice, your lemonade is not diluted.
